Mother Theresa- Mother of Love

A girl at the age of 10 wanted to serve poor people, she decided to make this as motto of her life. She was born in Skopje, capital of the Republic of Macedonia. She became nun in Ireland and she decided to start her journey to server people in India. She landed in Calcutta in 1931. She started working as a teacher. Poverty in Calcutta was at its peak that time. She was upset with the poverty and social issues people were suffering in that era. She decided to serve people; she opened a missionary called “The Missionaries of Charity”. The primary objective of this mission was to look after people, who nobody else was prepared to look after. She is Mother Theresa. In 1979, Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and has become a symbol of charitable selfless work

Calcutta was suffering with major down periods, Bengal famine and Hindu/Muslim Violence before the partition of India. She decided to leave the convent in 1948 to serve people. She started residing with poorest people of Calcutta  She wanted to be part of their lives, she started to wear a white saree with a blue border as respect to Indian culture. She formed a group of Nuns who had similar interest to poor people. Mother Teresa and her group of nuns started to serve on minimal Income, she started begging people for funds. Slowly her efforts with the poorest were noted and appreciated by the local community and Indian politicians. She started getting international attention and her efforts started paying back slowly

She started serving people suffering from Leprosy. In 1952, she opened her first home for the dying, which allowed people to die with dignity. Mother Teresa often spent time with those who were dying. She provided shelter for people and care for dying heart and soul. She cared for people till their last breath. She cared for people; she started building love and care among her group. There are many sisters who were trained, under her, to take care of people and to spread love

She left her own country, she didn't know the language. There was poverty spread around her. But nothing bothered to affect her. She successfully worked among poor and sick people spreading warmth and love. There are thousands of people who received her affection. She became a role model for many people who wanted to serve people across the globe. She significantly contributed in west also for welfare of poor and downtrodden people.

She became mother for many people. People like her rare to come, but when they do, they truly spread huge warmth love and affection making world worth living.
